It's No Way to Make a Living// working Nine to Five
Being a lady is tough. You gotta be fit, use deodorant every day, cross your legs when you sit down wearing a skirt and keep your nail game on point. On top of all of this you have to work (thanks for nothing feminism)! Nobody knows this better than Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda and (my hero) Dolly Parton, stars of the fabulous 9 to 5.
Despite some initial cattiness, these three lively ladies bond over their mutual hatred of their chauvinistic pig boss. Judy Bernly (Jane Fonda ) is newly divorced and entering the workforce for the first time. Doralee Rhodes (Doll Parton) is a country singer on the weekends, and the much harassed assistant of the vile Mr. Coleman. Violet Newstead (Lily Tomlin) is the single mom who has been passed over for promotion one time to many.
This movie has it all; extended dream sequences, hilarious political incorrectness, and a theme song by DP. So in honor of these trailblazing working ladies I have put together the kind of outfit no working girl can turn down. Hope you like it!
